Research on the Integration of Incense Art into Teaching Activity Designed for Chinese Culture Class

Most Chinese cultural teaching materials today focus on daily life, with few addressing specific fields like art, literature, politics, or economics. There are no professional materials for teaching traditional incense arts to foreign students. This research aims to integrate traditional incense arts into Chinese cultural teaching by designing a curriculum titled "Chinese Language and Incense Culture" The study explores how to incorporate teaching theories into Chinese language instruction, develop materials that enhance understanding of incense culture, and establish assessments that evaluate both cultural and linguistic aspects. It also seeks to determine the value and effectiveness of the course design. Methods used include data triangulation, interviews, and observation of teaching practices. Data triangulation establishes research themes and questions, interviews provide feedback on materials and lesson plans, and post-class feedback from learners and teachers evaluates the course. The results show that integrating cultural experience theory into incense arts teaching enhances learners' cultural knowledge and helps them apply it in daily life.
